This Privacy Policy explains how OurFoodFix (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.ourfoodfix.com (the “Site”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us — when you submit the contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, or email us, we receive your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
  • Information collected automatically — when you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics partners receive log data such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and time on each page.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — we and our partners (described below) use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and serve relevant advertising.

2. How We Use Information

  • To respond to inquiries and deliver the newsletter you requested.
  • To understand which articles and tools are most useful to readers, and improve them.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations as a Canadian publisher.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies in the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for core site features (e.g. saving your language preference). These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4, used to measure aggregated, non-personal traffic patterns.
  • Advertising — Google AdSense and its third-party partners, used to serve display advertising and measure ad performance.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers use the Site. 5. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

OurFoodFix uses Google AdSense to display advertising on the Site. Google and its certified advertising partners may use cookies and other technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This includes:

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads to you based on your visits to our Site and other sites on the Internet.
  • Third-party vendors’ use of cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our Site or other sites.
  • Use of Google’s and third parties’ remarketing tags to advertise to users on Google’s Display Network and other ad networks.

6. Affiliate Links

Some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set a cookie that allows them to attribute a subsequent purchase or sign-up to OurFoodFixand pay us a commission. 7. Email & Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and subscription preferences. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at info@vancouver-logistics.com to be removed from any communications.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the Site (hosting, analytics, advertising, email delivery, and payment processors for affiliate transactions), each under contractual obligations to keep your data secure. We may disclose information when required by Canadian law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OurFoodFix or others.

9. Data Retention

Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention settings (typically 14 months for user-level data).

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@vancouver-logistics.com.

  • Canadian residents — your personal information is handled in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
  • EEA / UK / Swiss residents — you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR. Our advertising partner (Google) provides a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) where required.
  • California residents — you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell personal information.

11. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the Site or, where appropriate, by email.
