Late-Night Eats Vancouver: Open After 10pm, By Area (2026)
The 2026 by-area table of Vancouver late-night food: real spots open after 10pm with verified kitchen-close times, organized by Downtown, Richmond, Kingsway, Commercial Drive and more — plus what's actually 24 hours. By Wendy Huang.

Introduction
Most "late-night Vancouver" lists are a graveyard of stale hours. They still send you to Congee Noodle House "until 4am" (it closes at 10pm now), to Sura "24 hours" (it closes at 10pm), or to Kintaro "until 1am" (the kitchen shuts by 9–9:30pm). I checked. Half the famous "open late" names in this city quietly cut their hours after 2020 and never told the blogs.
So this is the version I wanted: a single, current, by-area table that answers one question — where can I actually sit down and eat after 10pm tonight, and when does that kitchen really close? Not the door time. The kitchen time. And not a vibe list — a grid you can scan at 11:45pm with a dying phone.
I am Wendy Huang. I pay for my own meals and I take notes. Late-night spots are the most closure-prone, hour-slashing category in the city, so I have marked every closing time as verified (confirmed from a 2025–2026 listing or the restaurant's own site) or check / call ahead (a realistic figure I will not pretend is exact). Treat the verified times as a mid-2026 snapshot — kitchens move their last-call hours constantly, so call before you cross town.
This guide is the data-table companion to our two prose late-night reads — the neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood best late-night food in Vancouver after 10 PM and the deeper Vancouver late-night restaurants open after midnight. Where those tell stories, this one is the grid: spot, area, cuisine, kitchen-close time, and whether it's cheap or all-you-can-eat. If you came here to compare hours fast, you're in the right place.
How to Read This Table
- Kitchen close / open until — the time the kitchen stops taking orders, where I could find it, not the door-lock time. Where only a "closing time" is published, I note it as such — assume last food order is 30–60 minutes earlier.
- Verified — confirmed from a 2025–2026 listing or the restaurant's own site.
- Check / call ahead — a realistic figure I could not confirm to a standard I'll print as fact. Confirm before you go.
- After-10pm bar — to make the cut, the kitchen must reliably serve past 10pm on at least Friday/Saturday. The 24-hour and latest-closing spots are pulled into their own section below.
- AYCE / cheap notes — flagged where it ties to value: all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ run late in Richmond and Burnaby, and a handful of pubs and cafes are genuinely cheap after dark.
- Closures and demotions — late-night is brutal. I've listed the famous names that no longer serve late so you don't waste the trip.
The Master Table: Vancouver Late-Night Eats After 10pm (2026)
Sorted roughly by area, latest-closing spots noted. Times are weekend (Fri/Sat) unless stated; weeknights are often earlier.
| Spot | Area | Cuisine | Kitchen closes / open until | Notes (AYCE? cheap?) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| El Furniture Warehouse | Downtown (989 Granville St) | Pub / comfort | ~2:00 AM daily (kitchen late) | Every plate ~$6.95 — cheapest real late-night food downtown |
| The Ramen Butcher | Chinatown (223 E Georgia St) | Ramen | 10:00 PM Fri/Sat (9 PM other days) | Tonkotsu; no longer the 2am spot old lists claim |
| Fritz European Fry House | Davie / West End (718 Davie St) | Poutine / fries | ~4:00 AM Fri/Sat (~1–2 AM weeknights) | Poutine from ~$9; 19 dipping sauces; classic post-bar |
| The Lido | Mount Pleasant (518 E Broadway) | Bar / snacks | ~2:00 AM Fri/Sat, ~1:00 AM other | Live-music bar; cash only; late snacks not a full kitchen |
| Truong Thanh | Kingsway (2096 Kingsway) | Vietnamese / pho | ~12:00 AM (midnight) daily | Late pho; cheap; verify weekend extension before counting on it |
| Mui Ngo Gai | Kingsway (2052 Kingsway) | Vietnamese / pho | ~12:00 AM (midnight); closed Tue | Late pho; cheap |
| The Dolar Shop | Richmond (720–5300 No. 3 Rd, Lansdowne) | Hot pot | 11:00 PM daily | Late-night AYCE hot pot after 9pm — $55.99 Sun–Thu / $58.99 Fri–Sat, unlimited wagyu + sashimi |
| The Dolar Shop (Station Square) | Burnaby (6078 Silver Dr) | Hot pot | 11:00 PM daily | Same late-night AYCE menu after 9pm |
| Haidilao Hot Pot | Richmond (5890 No. 3 Rd) | Hot pot | ~1:00 AM most nights (9 PM Tue) | Premium shared-pot; reservations smart even late |
| The Bubble Queen | Richmond (8300 Capstan Way, President Plaza) | Taiwanese / dessert / boba | ~3:00 AM (check current) | Late dessert + bubble tea; group hang |
| No. 9 Restaurant | Richmond (5300 No. 3 Rd, Lansdowne) | HK-style cafe | 24 hours | Phone-book menu; most dishes under $15; cheap |
| Denny's Richmond | Richmond (10211 St Edwards Dr) | Diner | 24 hours | Chain diner; the reliable 24h fallback near the airport |
| Dae Bak Bon Ga | Downtown (1323 Robson St) | Korean BBQ | ~11:00 PM (no longer 24h) | KBBQ + stews; demoted from old "24-hour Robson" lists |
Summary: In 2026 the genuinely-after-10pm map is smaller and more honest than the blogs admit. Downtown: El Furniture Warehouse (~2am, ~$6.95 plates) and Fritz on Davie (poutine to ~4am weekends) are the reliable cheap picks; The Ramen Butcher now stops at 10pm. Kingsway quietly out-lasts them with midnight pho (Truong Thanh, Mui Ngo Gai). Richmond is the real late-night heartland: 24-hour No. 9 and Denny's, plus late-night AYCE hot pot at The Dolar Shop after 9pm. The famous "24-hour Robson Korean" corridor has largely closed to 10–11pm — confirm before you go.
How Vancouver Late-Night Hours Actually Work Now
Four things decide whether you eat after 10pm here:
- Door time is not kitchen time. Almost every spot stops taking food orders 30–60 minutes before it locks the door. A pub "open till 2am" may stop the fryer at 1am. The table above uses kitchen/last-food times where I could find them; otherwise I flag it.
- The hours got cut, and the blogs didn't update. Post-2020, several anchors slashed late service: Congee Noodle House (was famous to 4am, now ~10pm), Sura (was sold as 24h, now ~10pm), Kintaro Ramen (was "1am," now 9–9:30pm). Treat any pre-2023 "open late" claim as suspect.
- Richmond runs latest. The deepest after-midnight scene is Richmond, not downtown: 24-hour Hong Kong cafes, 24-hour Denny's, hot pot to 1am, and the late-night AYCE window. If you have a car, Richmond is the answer past 1am.
- AYCE goes late on purpose. All-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ rooms run a deliberate late-night AYCE window (typically after 8–9pm) to fill the back half of the night — it's the best-value late meal in the city if you're hungry enough.
Downtown, Granville & Davie (West End)
Downtown after 10pm is thinner than its reputation. The honest cheap pick is El Furniture Warehouse (989 Granville St) — a Granville-strip pub where the kitchen runs to roughly 2am and every plate is about $6.95, which makes it the cheapest real sit-down food downtown at that hour. On Davie Street, Fritz European Fry House (718 Davie St) is the rite-of-passage poutine window, open to roughly 4am on Fri/Sat with poutine from around $9 and a wall of dipping sauces. In Mount Pleasant just over the bridge, The Lido (518 E Broadway) is a cash-only live-music bar serving late snacks to ~2am on weekends — a bar with food, not a full late kitchen.
What's fallen off downtown: the much-blogged "24-hour Korean corridor on Robson" has largely closed to normal evening hours. Dae Bak Bon Ga (1323 Robson St) is still a strong Korean BBQ room but closes around 11pm, not 24 hours, and Sura (1518 Robson St — note the address, older lists say 1528) now closes at 10pm with last dinner call at 9pm. Do not plan a 2am Robson Korean run on those names.
Summary: Downtown's reliable cheap after-10pm picks are El Furniture Warehouse (~2am, ~$6.95 plates) and Fritz on Davie (poutine to ~4am weekends). The "24-hour Robson Korean" corridor is effectively gone — Sura and Dae Bak Bon Ga now close around 10–11pm. Confirm Korean hours before crossing downtown for them.
Chinatown
The Ramen Butcher (223 E Georgia St) is the Chinatown ramen anchor, but it has pulled its hours in: the kitchen now runs to 10pm Friday/Saturday and 9pm the rest of the week, not the "2am weekends" some lists still print. It's a good early-evening bowl, not a midnight one anymore. Note too that Phnom Penh (244 E Georgia St) — long cited as a late Fri/Sat spot — now closes at 9pm and is dark Tuesdays; it is no longer a late-night option despite older guides. Chinatown after midnight is, honestly, quiet now.
Summary: Chinatown's late scene has contracted. The Ramen Butcher closes ~10pm on weekends (not 2am), and Phnom Penh now closes at 9pm. Neither is a true post-midnight option in 2026 — head to Richmond or Kingsway instead.
Kingsway: The Quiet Late-Night Pho Belt
Kingsway is the underrated answer. While downtown ramen shuts by 9–10pm, two Vietnamese rooms on Kingsway keep serving cheap, restorative pho to midnight: Truong Thanh (2096 Kingsway) and Mui Ngo Gai (2052 Kingsway, closed Tuesdays). Some delivery listings show Truong Thanh later still, but I'll print the verified midnight dine-in figure and tell you to call if you're pushing past it. This is the best cheap, sit-down, non-pub late meal on the east side — clean broth, low bill.
Summary: Kingsway quietly out-lasts downtown for real food: Truong Thanh and Mui Ngo Gai both serve cheap pho to around midnight (Mui Ngo Gai closed Tuesdays). Verify any past-midnight claim before relying on it.
Richmond: The Late-Night Heartland (and Late AYCE)
Richmond is where the night actually runs late, and where late-night ties straight into the all-you-can-eat thread.
The Dolar Shop (720–5300 No. 3 Rd, Lansdowne Centre) runs a dedicated late-night AYCE hot pot menu after 9pm: roughly $55.99 Sunday–Thursday / $58.99 Friday–Saturday, with unlimited wagyu, two sashimi (tuna and salmon), and the full market/sauce bar. The room itself closes at 11pm, so the late-AYCE window is ~9–11pm. The same menu runs at the Burnaby Station Square location (6078 Silver Dr). If you want the most food for your late-night dollar, this is it. (For the full price-ranked breakdown, see the AYCE hot pot Vancouver prices ranked 2026 guide.)
Haidilao Hot Pot (5890 No. 3 Rd) runs latest of the shared-pot rooms — roughly 1am most nights (earlier, ~9pm, on Tuesdays) — and reservations are smart even late. For 24-hour comfort, No. 9 Restaurant (5300 No. 3 Rd) is the legendary 24-hour Hong Kong cafe, a phone-book menu with most dishes under $15 — cheap, chaotic, open whenever. And Denny's Richmond (10211 St Edwards Dr) is the genuine 24-hour diner fallback near the airport when everything else is dark. For late dessert and boba, The Bubble Queen (8300 Capstan Way, President Plaza) runs toward 3am (confirm current).
Summary: Richmond is the late-night heartland: 24-hour No. 9 (HK cafe, under $15) and 24-hour Denny's, Haidilao hot pot to
1am, and — the value play — **late-night AYCE hot pot at The Dolar Shop after 9pm ($56–$59), also in Burnaby**. If you have a car after 1am, point it at Richmond.
Commercial Drive
The Drive leans bar-and-pub for late food rather than dedicated late kitchens. Sing Sing and Havana keep food going into the later evening (pho, pizza, comfort plates at Sing Sing; "11am–late" at Havana), but these are venue/bar hours that shift seasonally — none is a confirmed past-midnight kitchen the way Richmond's spots are. Treat The Drive as a "late-ish until ~12am, call to confirm" zone rather than a true after-midnight destination.
Summary: Commercial Drive is late-ish, not late: Sing Sing and Havana serve into the late evening but on shifting bar hours, not confirmed post-midnight kitchens. Confirm before counting on The Drive past midnight.
Open 24 Hours / Latest-Closing in 2026
When everything else is dark, this is the short list that genuinely holds up:
- No. 9 Restaurant — Richmond (5300 No. 3 Rd) — 24 hours, HK-style cafe, most dishes under $15. The single most reliable cheap 24h sit-down in Metro Vancouver.
- Denny's Richmond — (10211 St Edwards Dr) — 24 hours, chain diner, near YVR. The default 4am pancake/burger fallback.
- Fritz European Fry House — Davie (718 Davie St) — to ~4am Fri/Sat for poutine; latest food downtown on weekends.
- The Dolar Shop — Richmond + Burnaby — late-night AYCE hot pot after 9pm until 11pm; latest AYCE in the city.
- Haidilao — Richmond (5890 No. 3 Rd) — to ~1am most nights; latest premium shared-pot.
Everything famous that used to be on this list — Congee Noodle House (4am), Sura (24h), Kintaro (1am) — has cut hours. Don't rely on pre-2023 lists for 24-hour claims.
Why So Many "Open Late" Claims Are Wrong Now
Late-night kitchens are the first thing a restaurant cuts when labour and rent climb, and Vancouver squeezed both hard after 2020. The economics of staffing a kitchen past midnight on a Tuesday rarely work, so owners trimmed quietly — and the food blogs, which mostly recycle each other, never updated. The result is a city where the reputation for late-night food badly outruns the reality. That's exactly why this is a by-area table with marked verified-versus-check times instead of another vibe listicle: the only useful late-night guide is one that admits hours change and tells you to call. For the broader budget picture, our all-you-can-eat Vancouver by price 2026 guide covers where the value sits across the whole AYCE map, much of which (hot pot, KBBQ) runs latest.
Key Takeaway
In 2026, real after-10pm food in Vancouver clusters in three places, not the famous downtown core: cheap pub plates and poutine on Granville/Davie (El Furniture Warehouse ~2am ~$6.95; Fritz ~4am weekends), midnight pho on Kingsway (Truong Thanh, Mui Ngo Gai), and the genuine heartland, Richmond — 24-hour No. 9 and Denny's, Haidilao to 1am, and the best-value late meal in the city, **late-night AYCE hot pot at The Dolar Shop after 9pm ($56–$59), also in Burnaby**. The catch is that the most-blogged "late" names — Congee Noodle House, Sura, Kintaro, The Ramen Butcher, Phnom Penh — have all cut their hours and no longer serve as late as old lists claim. Kitchen times move constantly in this category, so treat every figure here as a mid-2026 snapshot and call ahead before you cross town.
Frequently Asked Questions
What restaurants in Vancouver are actually open 24 hours in 2026?
The genuine 24-hour sit-down options are mostly in Richmond. No. 9 Restaurant (5300 No. 3 Rd) is a 24-hour Hong Kong-style cafe with most dishes under $15, and Denny's Richmond (10211 St Edwards Dr) is a 24-hour diner near the airport. The downtown "24-hour Korean corridor on Robson" that older lists cite has largely closed — Sura and Dae Bak Bon Ga now close around 10–11pm. Always confirm, since hours change.
Where can I get cheap food after midnight in Vancouver?
For cheap, the strongest picks are No. 9 Restaurant in Richmond (24 hours, dishes under $15), El Furniture Warehouse on Granville (~2am, plates around $6.95), Fritz on Davie (poutine from ~$9, to ~4am weekends), and the Kingsway pho rooms Truong Thanh and Mui Ngo Gai (to around midnight). Call ahead — late kitchen hours shift often.
Is there late-night all-you-can-eat in Vancouver?
Yes. The Dolar Shop runs a dedicated late-night AYCE hot pot menu after 9pm at its Richmond (Lansdowne) and Burnaby (Station Square) locations — roughly $55.99 Sunday–Thursday and $58.99 Friday–Saturday, with unlimited wagyu and sashimi, until the room closes at 11pm. It's the best-value late meal in the city if you're hungry. See our AYCE hot pot Vancouver prices guide for the full comparison.
Why do so many "open late" Vancouver lists have the wrong hours?
Because many famous late-night anchors cut their hours after 2020 and the blogs never updated. Congee Noodle House (once open to 4am) now closes around 10pm, Sura on Robson (often listed as 24 hours) now closes at 10pm, and Kintaro Ramen (listed as "1am") now closes its kitchen by 9–9:30pm. Treat any pre-2023 "open late" claim as suspect and confirm directly.
Where is the best late-night food by area after 10pm?
Downtown: El Furniture Warehouse (Granville, ~2am) and Fritz (Davie, ~4am weekends) for cheap plates and poutine. Kingsway: Truong Thanh and Mui Ngo Gai for pho to around midnight. Richmond: the real heartland — 24-hour No. 9 and Denny's, Haidilao hot pot to ~1am, and late-night AYCE hot pot at The Dolar Shop after 9pm. Chinatown and the downtown Korean strip have largely gone quiet after 10pm.
Can I still get late-night ramen in Vancouver?
It's harder than it used to be — Kintaro now closes by 9–9:30pm and The Ramen Butcher by 10pm on weekends, despite old "1–2am" claims. Your best late noodle bets now are the Kingsway pho rooms to midnight or Richmond's 24-hour Hong Kong cafes for noodle soups. For the full picture, see our late-night ramen after 11pm guide and confirm any hours by phone.
